Important Safety Precautions
Screening. In accordance with the CDC's current COVID19 recommendations, you will be asked to complete the regular intake form, which will include new COVID-19-specific health screening questions. Also in keeping with the CDC recommendations, all clients will have their temperature taken using a touchless thermometer.
Masks. In accordance with the CDC recommendations, masks will be worn by both me and the massage client. If you don’t have a mask, I will supply a new, unused mask. Masks are to be worn by both from the time the client enters until the time he/she leaves the premises. I will wear a new mask with each client.
Linens. As has always been the case, all linens are replaced with freshly laundered linens after each client. All linens are washed in an industrial washer. As an added precaution, a laundry disinfectant is also added to the detergent.
Therapist Lab Coat. I will always wear a clean lab coat for each client and I will place the used lab coat with the removed linens at the conclusion of each treatment.
Cleaning Surfaces. Before and after each client, all common surfaces used by, or likely touched by the client or therapist, will be cleaned using EPA approved cleaning products. This includes but is not limited to: massage table, bolsters, face cradle, chairs, stools, all bathroom surfaces, clothes hangers, light switches, door knobs, pens, and clipboards.
Hand Sanitizer. Hand washing with soap and water has always been highly encouraged. Hand Sanitizer stations have also been added to the reception area and treatment room.
New Check-in Procedure. Clients will be asked to wait in their car until invited in. This will enable me to disinfect all surfaces prior to client entering. This will also allow the previous client to leave without crossing paths with the next client. Screening questions will be completed at the entrance. After completing the screening, both the therapist and client will sanitize their hands before proceeding to the treatment area.
Cancellation Policy. There will be no fee or any penalty for cancelling for any health reason or concern. In addition, there is no penalty if you wake up with cold or flu symptoms and need to cancel on the scheduled treatment day. However, please notify me as soon as possible. My goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy.

A final word -
I will do everything that I can to ensure that both you and I stay safe! But even with all the above precautions, there is still a risk. Because massage therapy work involves maintained touch and close physical proximity over an extended period of time, there may be an elevated risk of disease transmission, including COVID-19.
